spiritual motivationFaith is a big part of my life. One of my sayings I share a lot is “it would be a shame to work so hard on my body and neglect my soul.”

I truly believe that being fit means you need to be physically, mentally and spiritual fit. You can be super fit but an emotional wreck – and you can have abs of steal but very weak faith. My goal is to encourage you to tackle all 3 aspects of your well-being.

Under this tab, you can browse all blogs that offer spiritual encouragement, as well as use the search bar to search for specific topics like depression, discouragement, stress, obedience, discipline and spiritual growth.

Even if you don’t believe in God, I fully believe you can be encouraged by the wisdom of scripture, as scripture has so much to offer us, to protect us from ourselves and to help us be the best we can be – both physically and spiritually.

“Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.” 1 Timothy 4:8.

Marriage Encouragement

boxing couple 2 copyMany of you have seen changes in our marriage. Since I started sharing bits and pieces of our testimony on my social media, in hopes of encouraging others, I’ve had countless emails requesting help, asking us how “we did it” and wanting direction or prayers. Before I give you the whole story, I want to share WHY we are sharing our mess with the world – because until you can fully understand our testimony, you first have to understand the tests we were going through.

    Hi Bonnie and Steve,

A few nights ago I was watching Fit to Fat to Fat and it featured Steve and Tasha. The Lord used something Steve said to bring to life this scripture for me relating it to food and weight “Everything is permissible,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible,” but not everything is edifying.” I Corinthians 10:23. I wasn’t sure of Steve’s religious background but I contacted him on twitter to make a comment but having found your PFaith page I am confident that I can share with you both that the Lord Steve to help me renew my mind about food, weight loss and weight maintenance. I have been considering and approved for weight loss surgery (BMI is 40; currently I’m 250lbs at 5’5″) and my insurance will cover it 100%, but in my prayer time I have not gotten peace about surgery. I am more committed to the journey. T/U

Hi, I’m 20 this year and I’ve lost so many weights since 17…but the problem is my skin is not shrinking back…! I’ve tried so strength n weight training for years and also tried to apply done external products like wraps and bio-oil. But the skin is still there n the stretch marks r horrendous! Please help.

How much your skin shrinks depends on your genes, as well as how long you stay smaller. If you keep the weight off, it should improve over time but not everyone’s skin tightens up unfortunately. However, I’ve seen crazy changes in people’s skin tightening up the longer they stay thin. :) Congrats on the weight loss!!
