We all know how hard 2020 was for everyone. I would say it was the most stressful year for most of us. While everyone deals with stress differently, there is one thing in common. Nearly everybody wears stress.

Most of you know I have been blogging for a long time and I have had the opportunity to do products reviews over the years. This year, I was asked to review a very powerful gun. Not the “bang bang” pull-the-trigger kind, but the feel-good trigger point-releasing kind of gun. I was asked to review the OYeet NEX portable massage gun.

I have to admit, “portable” often means “less powerful” in my experience. So, I was honestly awaiting a small semi-effective massage gun that would likely end up in my box of massage gadgets I never use. I expected it would have some value, but what I got in the mail shocked me.

WOW!

As I opened the box, I was wowed with impressive packaging. So much so, I called for Steve saying, “Come here! You’ve gotta come see this!”

This was clearly not your run of the mill gift. I already could tell something was very special tucked away in the perfectly designed black and red box.

No corners were cut with this project. While packaging is not everything, it does send a clear message to the receiver. It either tells the one opening the box that this item was probably on the clearance rack or it says “I am extremely valuable, you are going to love me. Open me with care and get ready to be dazzled”.

Like opening the newest Apple product, OYeet NEX‘s packaging makes you think light rays are about to rain down from heaven and an angelic choir is about to sing as you lift the lid to see what is inside.

Peeling Back the Layers of Awesomeness

Just like the packaging, each step of the unboxing can get you excited or frustrated. Before even laying my eyes on the massager itself, the unboxing experience was telling me that not only was this going to be a quality product, they were going to make sure I knew exactly how to use it.

As I began the box-opening, I uncovered a beautifully arranged packet of booklets, each with easy to follow massage routines based on your specific interest or needs. This was over and beyond what I ever expected. I actually own many massagers but none of them came with practical instruction on exactly how to use it.

• Muscles – instructions for how to massage each muscle group

• Activity – instruction on what and how to massage after specific activities from basketball and swimming to weight lifting and running

• Ailments – instructions for massages to relieve common aches and pains like sciatic, carpal tunnel and muscle cramps

Here is a sneak peak of some of the beautifully illustrated instructions on exactly how to use the massage gun including which attachment to use, where to apply pressure and suggested duration.

But Wait There’s More!

Under the welcome materials and booklets was yet another layer of awesomeness. I literally shouted out loud again, “look Steve, it comes with a really cool case!” It wasn’t just any cheap canvas case, which still would have been welcomed, it was a designer leather like case with their red logo.

The Unexpected

I eagerly opened the case up, excited to see what was inside. I do believe the heavens did open up as I finally revealed the contents; a beautiful red piece of compact machinery with a variety of attachments.

As I picked up the massager, I could tell right away that this product was well constructed. While still half the weight of most massage guns, it felt extremely durable and solid.

I also loved that I didn’t need a manual to start using it. I am not the most patient person when it comes to taking the time to read instructions. The OYeet NEX Massage Gun was incredibly easy to figure out. I popped on one of the attachments, long-pressed the sleek on button and began massaging everything.

Each time I pressed the button, the massage speed increased. The power this little massager out was shockingly impressive. In fact, as I massaged Steve, he said he thought it was the most powerful massager he has ever felt.

Unlike most massagers, this muscle massaging beauty came with 4 massage heads:

• Soft Ball – Greater surface area

• Flat – Smaller surface area and great for dense muscles

• Bullet – Smallest surface, great for pinpointing trigger points

• Fork – Dual surface points for working around muscle groups

Above and Beyond

As if i wasn’t impressed enough, there were so many added perks that just made this an over the top gift, like the attractive and matching red charging base.

All you have to do is set the gun into the base to charge it, which is a welcomed upgrade from the traditional tiny 5 pin oldschool charging chords which always results in a frustrating search for the tiny little hole to plug into. Then, if that isn’t bothersome enough, you do the chord flipping dance, where it is almost guaranteed you will not successfully plug it in correctly on the first try. Thank you O’Yeet!

The charging dock is just one more feature that secures my top gift pick of 2021. It’s classy, high-quality, functional, practical and most welcomed in a time when we need all the help we can get as we recover from the longest year of all.
